An atypical journey

Born in France, I grew up in a world undergoing rapid technological change, watching with both fascination and unease as scientific progress accelerated.

For over fifteen years, I worked in the technology sector, alongside engineers, researchers and entrepreneurs. This immersion let me understand from the inside how innovations work — but also perceive the grey areas, the unspoken truths, the ethical dilemmas we often prefer to ignore.

I witnessed debates on artificial intelligence, genetic modification, mass surveillance, transhumanism. I saw ambitious projects launched with the best intentions, only to drift toward disturbing applications. This experience fed my conviction: fiction is the best tool to explore these questions without oversimplifying them.

“Writing lets me ask the questions I didn't dare voice in meeting rooms. To give life to the nightmares I sensed in technical reports. To make human what too often stays abstract.”

CHAIR TENDRE was born of those years of observation. Of conversations overheard at genetics conferences. Of scientific papers read late into the night. Of ethical questions left unanswered. The novel asks a simple yet dizzying question: what are we willing to accept in the name of progress?

Why the techno-thriller?

The thriller offers something unique: it lets you build narrative tension while exploring complex ideas. The genre imposes a pace, an urgency, that perfectly mirrors the technological acceleration of our era.

I don't seek to demonize science. I seek to question its uses, to probe the grey areas where "can we?" too often replaces "should we?". My characters are neither perfect heroes nor cartoonish villains. They are individuals facing impossible choices, like all of us.

The Nutrition Expert

Alongside writing, I spent twenty years understanding human nutrition in all its complexity: chronobiology, microbiome, adapting diet to each phase of life. One conviction took hold: we are not meant to eat the same thing at 2, 35 and 80.

Cette recherche a abouti à Nutrition à chaque âge 0 à 100 ans — la Bible de la nutrition selon l'âge — et à l'application nutrition-evolutive.fr, qui traduit ces années de travail en outil quotidien accessible à tous.

The Tech Creator

This coherence between the three disciplines — fiction, nutritional science, technological creation — is what gives my work its singularity. And what reminds me daily that fiction sometimes catches up with reality all too fast.

Influences & Inspirations

Literature

Michael Crichton for his blend of scientific rigor and suspense, Philip K. Dick for his philosophical questioning, David Fincher (cinema) for his oppressive atmospheres.

Science

Advances in neuroscience, genetics and artificial intelligence. The reports of the French National Consultative Ethics Committee.

Current affairs

Debates on genetic modification of embryos, mass surveillance, transhumanism, and the possible excesses of emerging technologies.

How I write

01

In-depth research

Every novel begins with months of research: scientific papers, expert interviews, laboratory visits. I want the science to be credible.

02

Building characters

My characters are not mouthpieces for ideas. They are complex individuals, with their flaws, their contradictions, their moral grey areas.

03

Narrative planning

I structure the plot meticulously. Each chapter must deliver a revelation, a tension, a dilemma. Pacing is essential in a thriller.

04

Writing & Rewriting

The first draft is always imperfect. I rewrite, cut, refine. A good thriller is also a matter of precision in every sentence.

What I believe in

Ethics first

Technological progress must serve humanity, not dominate it. Ethical questions are not a brake on innovation; they are its necessary compass.

Nuance against black-and-white thinking

There are no absolute good guys and bad guys. Reality is made of grey areas, of good motives leading to bad actions, of dilemmas with no clear answer.

Fiction as a tool for reflection

A novel can do what an essay cannot: make abstract questions visceral, give flesh to concepts, create empathy where theory fails.

I'm often asked...

Why did you choose self-publishing?

Self-publishing lets me keep full creative control over my work and build a direct connection with my readers. In a world where technology enables disintermediation, it felt consistent to follow this path.

Will there be a sequel to CHAIR TENDRE?

CHAIR TENDRE works as a standalone novel with a complete ending. However, the world of the APOPHIS program and the questions it raises offer many possibilities. If readers follow, I could explore other facets of this universe.

How can I contact you for an interview or event?

What are your future projects?

What's the link between your books and the nutrition app?

Nutrition at Every Age 0 to 100 is the scientific foundation of the app. The book goes deep — references, mechanisms, nuances. The app translates these principles into daily actions: chronobiological profile, meal planner, practical guides. Two formats, one philosophy.
